Below are some of my favorite and simple recipes from my Vietnamese cookbook. A soup, a meat dish, and/or a stir fry are often served during a Vietnamese meal. However appetizers such as Gỏi Cuốn are not often served for everyday meals. It is often served on holidays and/or special occasions.
Once a month, I will be posting a recipe from the list below. Free Vietnamese recipes for a healthy meal.
Enjoy them with your family.
Along with ice cream, Vietnamese yogurt is a favorite healthy snack of Vietnamese food. It is healthy, delicious,
and inexpensive. This Da Ua (Vietnamese Yogurt) recipe is also in our Vietnamese cookbook with detailed illustrations. Da Ua (Vietnamese Yogurt) has a creamy, sweet and sour flavor and may be eaten chilled or frozen. It is a combination of whole or low fat
milk, condense milk, plain yogurt and optional sugar. This recipe yields a vanilla flavored yogurt. Flavors such as chocolate,
strawberry, cherry, and other fruits may be added. The proportions of new flavors are for you to experiment on your own. Da ua is one of my favorite healthy snacks when I was growing up in Vietnam and now I would like to share this fun Da Ua recipe with you.
