Every culture has its own unique types of food. Although Vietnam is very similar to China in many ways, it maintains its own identity through its food.

Vietnamese meals are very simple. A Vietnamese meal usually consists of a simple soup dish, a stir-fry or a brined dish and white rice. Fruits are dessert.

Rice is the main staple of Vietnamese food. Rice grain is the easiest plant to grow in Vietnam. It is cheap and plentiful.

The main reason why I like Vietnamese food is that is marinated in different flavor sauces such as fish sauce, soy sauce, or plum sauce.  The sauces boost the food flavors to come alive.
